10 years ago In Pursuit of Silence premiered in 30+ theaters across the U.S., before expanding to over 100 theaters around the world. More importantly, making that film put me in touch with something I’m not able to name even now. It was one of the most formative journeys of my life. So grateful that Mubi has brought this film back as part of its programming celebrating films that remind us how deeply cinema (and our experience of the world) is shaped by what we hear and what we don’t.

To everyone who has watched, shared, taught, screened, or simply carried this film with them over the years: thank you. It means more than I can say. 🙏
